memento mori Remember that you are mortal. (used to remind a person not to be overly proud of an accomplishment, because everyone, even a president or superbowl champion, will die.)

Nemo me impune lacessit. (literature) Nobody attacks me with impunity. (used to show the speaker’s ruthlessness.)

Arma virumque cano. (literature)       I sing of arms (i.e. weapons) and a man. (The first line of the most famous Latin poem, The Aeneid. The “man” is the ancestral founder of Rome.)
